Ronald Thomas Garrett

Ronald Thomas “Ronnie” Garrett of Clarksville, VA passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the age of 64. Born in Granville County, NC on March 22, 1959, he was the son of Joyce Strum Garrett and the late Thomas Edward Garrett and was married to Patricia Larry Garrett. Ronnie was a hard-working farmer and mechanic. He was happiest working the farm and spending time with his grandkids. He was an all-around big kid who was a constant jokester and prankster. Ronnie never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who met him, but most of all he loved his family with all his heart. Ronnie was a faithful servant to the Lord and was a dedicated member of Union Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a past deacon and current Sunday School secretary.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Tricia; daughter, Ashley G. Taylor (Earnie) of Clarksville; sons, Chad Vaughn (Catherine) and Jason Vaughn (Tammy) both of Rougemont, NC; sister, Debbie Newman (Tommy) of Wake Forest, NC; brothers, Gregg Garrett of Clarksville and Todd Garrett (Shelby) of Oxford, NC; grandchildren, Brittany, Chad, Hannah, Kevin, Jacob, Jake, Joy, Jeremiah, Sophie, and Joshua; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Union Chapel Baptist Church on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Jackie Wray and Reverend Jim Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday and at other times at the home.
