Abner O'Neal Talley

VIRGILINA - Mr. Abner O'Neal Talley, Jr. of Virgilina, VA died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the age of 64. Mr. Talley was born in Halifax Co., VA on April 25, 1951 to the late Abner O'Neal Talley, Sr. and the late Lestie Whitlow Talley and was married to Paula Hart Talley. Abner retired from Burlington after 30 plus years. He was a 1970 graduate of Halifax Co. High School and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Talley is survived by his wife, Paula Hart Talley; a brother, Roger Talley of Virgilina; a nephew, Christopher Allen Talley of Henderson, NC;and a great niece and great nephew. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with the Reverend Shayne Estes and the Reverend Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home, 3159 North Fork Church Rd., Virgilina.
