Agnes Reva Hodges Walker, 88, of Buffalo Junction went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2017. She was born December 16, 1928 in Nathalie, Virginia to James Aaron and Myrtle Brown Hodges, and was married to Mark Burnett Walker on December 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2013. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and had been employed by Grace Hotel in Clarksville, Burlington Industries and Mecklenburg County Schools Transportation. She was a Sunday School teacher to many ages for many years and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Paul Carter of Winchester, Virginia, and Victoria and Charles Yancey of Buffalo Junction; three sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Ruth Walker, Paul and Mary Lou Walker all of Buffalo Junction, Gerald and Nancy Walker of Berne, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Sue Walker of Nelson, and was preceded in death by a son Charlie Mark Walker in 1982. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were sisters Doris Owen, Rothwell Clark and Pansy Lail, brothers Cecil, Durelle and James Hodges as well as siblings from childhood, May and Ray Hodges. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be heldat 11 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. The Reverend Billy Coghill will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave. Clarksville, Virginia.
