Albert Quincy "Butch" Davis Jr.

Albert Quincy "Butch" Davis, Jr of South Boston passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at this home.  Born in Halifax County on May 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Albert Quincy Davis and the late Alice Newby Davis.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Gray Bray Davis.

Butch was a "jack" of all trades, loving to tinker on anything.  He was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting & fishing.

He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda D. Vest; grandchildren, Samantha Vest, Amanda Mulchi, Melissa Mulchi, Megan Mulchi, Ashley Vest and Bobby "Bo" Vest Jr and great grandchildren, Shane Vest, Jacob Peyton, Skylar Barksdale, Kaylin Barksdale, Barbara Peyton, James "JJ" Peyton, Kenley Layne, Hayliegh Terry, Piper Easter, and Slade Comer.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings, being the last of 10 children, and a stepson, Richard Dale Mulchi.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Johnson officiating.
