Mrs. Alease Nunn Talbott, 89, widow of Charlie Y. Talbott died Saturday, July 31, 2004 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville. The daughter of James Harper and Gracie Davis Nunn, she was native to Buffalo Springs; graduated from Clarksville High School and later beauty school. Mrs. Talbott traveled around the country and overseas as an Army wife. Retiring from Army life in 1967, the Talbotts retired to Williamsburg. Alease was active at United Methodist Church was she gained many friends. She worked at Madison's Gift Shop on Duke of Glocester Street and later at The Christmas Shop. She loved to play golf. After her husband's death, she moved to the Chambrell House, then later moved to Anderson, SC to be near one of her sons. In the fall of 2003, she relocated to her hometown to live in MeadowView Terrace. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with Reverend Wade Tucker officiating. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be held Thursday, August 12th at 11AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:30 AM. Mrs. Talbott is survived by two sons, Charlie Y. Talbott, Jr. of Stafford and Joseph Collins Talbott of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Kathleen Nunn Walker and Emily Nunn Crowder both of Clarksville; niece, Suzanne Yates Johnson of Silverweed, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
