Alesia Sue Reeves Mcquain

Boydton, VA – Alesia Sue Reeves McQuain, wife of Roger McQuain, went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, March 10, 2022. Born in Fairmont, WV on May 20, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Lindie Burnfield Reeves and William F. Reeves, who survives. Alesia received her bachelor’s degree in Education and made a lifelong commitment to educating children. She was a first-grade teacher in the Mecklenburg County public school system. Her love for children was eternally expanded upon the arrival of her four grandchildren, the true lights of her life. In addition to her father and her husband of 34 years, cherishing Alesia’s memory are her sons, Jacob McQuain (Melissa) of Nelson and Aaron McQuain (Kasey) of Boydton; grandchildren, Lindie, Karlene, Wesley and Asher as well as her sisters, Kim Palmer, Debbie Reeves and Melodie Kerns, all of Fairmont, WV; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Boydton Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Fields United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Reverends Jonathan Vandermark, Jr. and Carl Bagley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. on Saturday evening at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home and all other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, Alesia's family asks that donations be made to Mini Blessings Preschool at P.O. Box 15 Boydton, VA 23917. Online condolences may be expressed at wclfh.com.
