Ms. Alice Bolinger Hamm Fallen of 1188 Virgie Cole Rd., South Boston, VA died Friday, April 5, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born in Mecklenburg Co., VA on July 13, 1933 to the late Nevin Bolinger, Sr. and the late Sarah Carswell Bolinger. Ms. Fallen was retired from Burlington Industries where she was a weaver. She formerly attended Mt. Cana United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Hamm Poole and companion, Herbert Caudle of South Boston, VA; a son, Danny R. Hamm, Sr. and wife, Sharon of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Thelma Pennell of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Farmer and husband, Jaime, Donna Hammock and husband, Tommy, and Danny R. Hamm, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Blake Gilbert, Destiny Gilbert, Danielle Gilbert, Evelyn Farmer, and Jay Farmer; and special friends, Hazel Clienhans and Maggie Conner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Cana United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of her daughter, Cynthia Poole, 1188 Virgie Cole Rd., South Boston, VA.
