Alice W. Paschall

Mrs. Alice W. Paschall of 1005 Temple Hill Rd., Scottsburg, VA died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born in Pittsylvania Co., VA on May 4, 1925 to the late Jessie and Anna Oakes and was married to the late Alton Thomas Paschall. Mrs. Paschall was retired from Burlington Industries. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Laughorn and husband, Mack of Scottsburg, VA, Vivian Puryear and husband, Ronnie of South Boston, VA, Katie Allred and husband, Joe Allred, Sr. of Scottsburg, VA, and Brenda Cole of South Boston, VA; a sister, Rena Oakes; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jessie Walker, a son-in-law, Doug Cole, a great grandson, Korbin LaFluer, two sisters, Nora Gauldin and Mary Anderson, and one brother, James Oakes. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM and at other times at the home of Brenda Cole, 1423 Peach Ave., South Boston, VA.
