Allen Rice

ATLANTA, GA Mr. Allen Rice of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Virgilina, VApassed away on May 3, 2022, at the age of80. He was born on August 16, 1941 to the late Clarence and Morine Rice. He was preceded by the love of his life, Elsie Dupaquier. He is survived by two children, Keith and Alena, one sister, Iris Rice Murray and brother in law, William Murray. In addition to his two children, he had seven grandchildren, Nicholas, CJ, Rebecca, Matthew, Zachary, Isabella and Noah, they were the joy of his life. In spring of 1972 he moved to Atlanta, GA after getting off an airplane and noticed the dogwoods had started blooming. Mr. Rice was a self-made man by opening his first pawn shop in Atlanta in 1980, and opened two more thereafter. He also was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and would never missed a Nascar Race on Sunday. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all that knew him. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 7 - 9 PM.
