Alline Loftis Nunn

Nelson, VA - Mrs. Alline Loftis Nunn, wife of Lawrence Allen “Simon” Nunn, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 71. She was born in Mecklenburg County on July 18, 1946 to the late Dorothy Ann Newton and James Harrison Loftis. Mrs. Nunn was a 1964 graduate of Bluestone High School. She worked at Burlington Industries and then for 19 additional years at Revlon before retiring. She was a member at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nunn is survived by daughters Sharon Tart of Youngsville, NC and Sherry Farrar (Shane) of Nelson, VA; sisters Irene L. Hughes of Lynchburg, VA and Diane Medley of South Boston, VA and a brother James Loftis of Clarksville, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren Devin Farrar and Carlee Tart. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donald Loftis and Annie Mavis Loftis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Buffalo Junction, VA. The Reverend Joey Tucker will officiate.
