Altina Sneed Hodges

Boydton, VA Mrs. Altina Sneed Hodges, widow of Durelle Zee Hodges, left us to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2017.She was born in Boydton, VA on March 14, 1929 to the late Nannie Lou Wootton and John Harrison Sneed.Mrs. Hodges worked as an office administrator at Burlington Industries. Altina Hodges is survived by her niece, Patricia H. Wilson of Colonial Heights; nephews, Michael Sneed of Skipwith and Dan Sneed of Charlottesville, a great niece and two great nephews as well as two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Sneed Wagner, a brother, Charlie Marshall Sneed and a nephew, Marshall Hogan Sneed. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21 in the Watkins Cooper Lyon chapel with burial to follow at Boydton Presbyterian Church Cemetery.The Reverend Larry Davis will be officiating.
