Alton David Bowen

Alton David Bowen, 75, husband of Marie T. Bowen, passed away Thursday, May 09, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. Alton was born June 2, 1937 to the late William David and Mary Baylous Bowen. A farmer, Alton had also worked at Russell Stover Candy Company and was retired from Burlington Industries. Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday at Aaron's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Joe McDowell officiating. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Alton is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and John Coghill of Buffalo Junction and sons, Donnie David Bowen and his friend, Denise Hayes and Ronnie Dale Bowen, all of Virgilina. His grandchildren, Austin Dale Bowen, Ashley Renee Bowen, and Justin Marshall Coghill also survive.
