Mr. Alton Lee "Tiny" Conner of 1047 Green Level Rd., Scottsburg died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the age of 71. Mr. Conner was born in Halifax Co. on November 20, 1938 to the late William B. Conner and the late Cornelius Tuck Conner. He was married to Carolyn Moorefield Conner and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Teresa C. Seamster of Roxboro, NC; one son, Christopher L. Conner of Halifax; two brothers, William J. Conner and wife, Louise and Howard W. Conner and wife, Dorothy both of Halifax; three sisters, Virginia C. Snead of South Boston, Mary Joan Melton and husband, Bernie of Scottsburg, and Edna Noblin and husband, Sterling of Blackstone; two grandchildren, Tara S. Foster and husband, Justin and Tessa L. Seamster, both of Roxboro, NC; one great grandchild, Lexie D. Foster; and a special niece, Debra M. Hite and husband, Mike. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James E. Conner. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. C. Allen Mahan, II officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Jo Davis, 1012 Whitlow Trail, South Boston.
