Alvin Bryant Conner

Mr. Alvin Bryant Conner, age 71, of 1243 Turkey Track Ln., Nathalie, VA passed away peacefully Saturday, October 22, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 20, 1940 to the late Fletcher Conner and the late Mary Chaffin Layne Conner. He was married to his loving wife, the late Bessie Doris Conner, for 46 years. Mr. Conner was self employed. Survivors include three sons, Donnie Conner of Warrenton, NC, Darin Conner of Red Oak, VA and Dean Conner of Nathalie, VA; two daughters, Tina Morgan of Red Oak, VA and Tammy Hensley of Drakes Branch, VA; one sister, Mary Lil Dider of Hampton, VA; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his father, Fletcher Conner and his mother, Mary Chaffin Layne Conner. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Jeaux Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM. Those wishing to make memorials may make donations to the family.
