Alvin George Francisco

Alvin George Francisco, husband of the late Edith Murray Francisco, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the age of 91. He was born on December 17, 1929, in South Boston, VA, to the late Mary Jude Francisco and the late Joseph King Francisco. Alvin served in the United States Air Force and in the National Guard. He was retired from Reynolds Tobacco Company. Alvin enjoyed woodworking, traveling and was known as a devoted husband to his late wife. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served faithfully. Survivors of Alvin Francisco are a brother, Cecil Francisco and his wife, Lib; brother-in-law, Charles Murray and his wife, Martha Ann and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Anita Elliott and Avis Jones. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Reverends Garrett Bowman, Susan Davis and Joe Francisco officiating.
