Alvin Cecil Nash, 70, husband of Gloria McLain Nash, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Duke Medical Center. Mr. Nash was born in Bluefield and was a graduate of Graham High School class of 1951. He was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Business; and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1977 he and his family moved to Clarksville where he was employed with Burlington Industries as Division Customer Service Manager. After 26 years service with Burlington, Alvin retired in 1999. There will be a celebration reception of his life on Sunday, June 20, 2004 from 2-5pm at the Aarons Creek Community Center in Virgilina. In addition to his wife, Mr. Nash is also survived by son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Sandy Nash of Clarksville; daughters, Diana Nash Walters and Kristy Nash both of Buffalo Junction; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Brown Nash of Inverness, FL; Paul and June Nash of Hernando, FL; Ray Alexander and Barbara Nash of Bluefield; and grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Walters.
