Andrew "Andy" Marion Frederick

Clarksville, VA Andrew Marion “Andy” Frederick, Jr., 65, died at Lynchburg General Hospital on Sunday, September 27, 2015.Andy was born to Mary Goode Frederick and the late Andrew Marion Frederick, Sr. in Dahlgen, Virginia.In 1976 he moved to Clarksville.He was retired from Revlon in Oxford, NC.Andy was an avid fisherman and bowler; he was a team member of several bowling leagues.The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home at 2:30 PM.Mr. Frederick is survived by his mother from Fredericksburg, brother, James Frederick and wife, Joanne from Keysville, sister, Yvonne Ellis and husband, Nick of The Villages, Florida and daughter, Jessica Menteer and husband, Steven of Owensboro, KY.He is also survived by four grandchildren, Steven “Trip” Menteer III, Josie Marie Menteer, Ramona Ellen Menteer, and Vivian who is due February 2016, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.Andy is preceded in death by his father and sister, Brenda Jett.The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home one hour prior the funeral service on Tuesday.Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Frederick to the Jamie Rickman Youth Bowling Scholarship Fund, c/o David Anderson, 5233 Hunting Creek Rd.
