Andrew "Cale" Briggs

CLOVER Mr. Andrew “Cale” Briggs passed away in Goldsboro, NC on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the age of 20. He was born in Halifax County on August 7, 2000 to Andrew Earl Briggs and Diane Goodwin Briggs. Cale was employed with Spaulding Equipment as a mechanic. He was a tinkerer, mechanic and loved to fabricate things. He was an all-around good guy and was an active member of the Clover Volunteer Fire Department and attended Hope Church in South Boston. Cale was known for always willing to lend a hand and his charismatic smile that could brighten those around him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, William Gage Ballou, Christopher Wade Briggs and Emily Grace Briggs; paternal grandparents, Earl Daniel Briggs and Emily Sue Briggs; girlfriend, Destiny Fuller of South Boston and numerous friends and family. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Ann Hughes; maternal grandparents, Irene and Donald Goodwin of Long Island, New York. A Celebration of Cale’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Hope Church, Wilborn Avenue, South Boston, VA with Pastor Jesse Young and Pastor Herbert Brown officiating.
