Anita Hogan Talley

Anita Hogan Talley of Virgilina, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the age of 64. Born in Halifax County on October 19, 1957, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Irene Puckett Hogan. After working various jobs in construction and retail, she settled into the career that she was best suited for, being a caretaker. Anita will be remembered as a people and animal lover that always gave the best advice and had a smile and laugh that lit up the room.

Cherishing her memory will be her children, Crystal Ann Ligon of Clarksville and James Robert “J.R.” Ligon of South Hill; grandchildren, Jonah Ligon, Isaac Ligon and Harley Ligon; siblings, Loretta Roberts of Bahama, NC, Wayne Hogan (Sue) of Clarksville and Larry Hogan of Virgilina. In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas William Hogan, James Bran Hogan, and Carl Edward Hogan.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 16 at Aaron’s Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
