Ann Thomas Smiley

Ann Thomas Smiley passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born April 9, 1956 in South Boston, Virginia to the late Walter and Elizabeth Thomas.

Ann started her working career in the weaving department at Burlington Industries, she then worked for Russell Stover Candies and Revlon Cosmetics, then ending her work career driving for Prince George County schools. Ann enjoyed planting and growing all types of flowers and one of Ann's favorite pastimes was shopping, she loved to shop.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Staublein (Richard) of Prince George; brothers, Wayne Thomas (Susan) of Clarksville, Walter Thomas, Jr. (Maxine) of Virgilina; prior husband, Melvin "Tony" Smiley  and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be welcoming friends for a visitation Monday, January 13, 2025 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home from 6:00PM-8:00PM. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville, Virginia at 2:00PM.
