Annie Hundley Hackney

Mrs. Annie Hundley Hackney of 2078 Wolf Trap Rd., South Boston died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 84. Mrs. Hackney was born in Halifax County, Va. on November, 21, 1925 the daughter of the late Ephriam Hundley & the late Odessa Moorefield Hundley and was married to the late Arthur Lee Hackney, Sr. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Inc. Mrs. Hackney is survived by her son; Ronnie Hackney & wife, Debra of South Boston, grandchildren; Greg Hackney, Sandra Sims, Jason Howerton, Jamie Hackney, Shannon Cootrell and Whitney Wilkerson; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death also by her son; Arthur Lee Hackney, Jr., daughter; Marion H. Martin, great-grandchild; Cory Wilkerson, and a sister; Louise Rogers. Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Hundley Hackney will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Dan River Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Doug Gibson & Rev. Dennis Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night at Dan River Baptist Church from 7:00 PM to 8:30 and at other times at the home.
