Annie Parker Jones

Annie Parker Jones of Nelson, VA passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born in Mecklenburg County on June 24, 1927, to the late David Jackson Parker and Nannie Bet Vaughan Parker. Annie was married to the late Ryland Edward Jones. She retired from Russell Stover Candies with over 25 years of service. Annie loved her family and was always keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, sports, gameshows, word search puzzles, cooking and visiting with her cousin, Mary and her sister, Christine. She was a member of Nelson Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Linda Seate (Jackie, Sr.); grandchildren, Jack Seate (Laurie) and Chad Seate (Tracy); 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Christine Blackwell and Anne Wiles; brother, Rufus Parker and special cousin, Mary Seate. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Shearin and a brother, Weldon Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26 at Nelson Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Don Wilson will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
