Annie Williamson Yancey

Mrs. Annie Williamson Yancey, 93, widow of Charles Edward Yancey died Tuesday May 30, 2006 at her home. Daughter of Fuller B. and Matie Sizemore Williamson and a graduate of Clarksville High School with the Class of 1931, Annie was a homemaker. She loved to garden and assisted her husband in farming. She was a faithful member of Union Chapel Baptist Church were funeral services will be held 2PM Friday with the Reverend Earnie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Preceded in death by daughter, Joyce Y. Johnson, Mrs. Yancey is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Y. and Dickey Puckett of Oxford, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry W. and Linda Yancey of Virgilina, sisters, Virginia Elliott of Raleigh, NC and Pauline Bannister of Cary, NC. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 PM Thursday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
