Ardith Grace Billingslea Thompson

VIRGILINA - Mrs. Ardith Grace Billingslea Thompson of Virgilina, VA died Monday, June 20, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born in Harrison Co., WV on March 15, 1932 to the late Cephas R. Billingslea and the late Hava McClain Billingslea and was married to the late Sgt. First Class Adron Dearl Thompson, Sr. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a cafeteria manager with the Halifax Co. Public School System from 1978 until 1995. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and liked to travel. Mrs. Thompson is survived by two sons, Adron D. Thompson, Jr. and wife, Karen of Augusta, GA and Dwain Thompson and wife, Susan of Virgilina, VA; three daughters, Darlene Enroughty and husband, Wayne of North Augusta, SC, Denise Kinder and husband, Tim of Charleston, SC, and Diane Amrhein and husband, Tommy of Charleston, SC; brother, John D. Billingslea and wife, Jean of Lynchburg, VA; sister-in-law, Josephine Billingslea of Virgilina, VA; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Cephas Ray Billingslea, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Cana United Methodist Church with the Reverend Randy Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
