Arlene Waller Harris

Arlene Williams Waller Harris passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of 95. Born in Halifax County on September 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Otis Waller and the late Gracie Holmes Guthrie and was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Rupert Harris.

Arlene's working career spanned 39 years in textiles with JP Stevens. She was a member of Centerville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Clay Link and Patricia Clay Yancey; grandchildren, Jennifer Throckmorton (Billy), Wendy Lowery (Neil), Cindy Irby (Adam); great grandchildren, Adam Throckmorton (Ashbie), Brandon Lowery, Dylan Lowery, Hannah Irby, Benjamin Irby; siblings, Helen Miller, Jean Waller and Kenneth Waller (Jane).
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Beatrice Jordan, Curtis Waller, Gwendolyn Rogers, Geraldine Waller, Bennie Waller and Windfrey Waller.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Holmes and Reverend Mike West officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Bottom Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and at other times the home of Patricia Yancey, 1098 Seven Oaks Drive, South Boston, VA.
