Barbara Ann Austin Jones

RED OAK, VA Mrs. Barbara Ann Austin Jones of Red Oak, VA passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the age of 81.Born in Clover, VA on September 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jimmie Henry Austin and the late Nannie Moss Austin.She was married to the love of her life, the late Allen Graham “Bill” Jones. Barbara Ann loved her faith and was a member of Public Fork Christian Church.She loved her family very deeply; her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren with a passion. She was retired from Bill Watson Law Office as a legal secretary. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Nichols Brame and husband, David; grandson, Nicholas A. Wilson; granddaughter, Katie Parker and husband, Jasper; great grandchildren, Jaden, Parker, Lilly and Holden; sister, Sandra Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, James R. “Pete” Austin, Ralph E. Austin, A.I. “Sonny” Austin, H.A.”Dude” Austin and a sister, Ruby Holdren. Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Public Fork Christian Church with Evangelist Denis Fritz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and at other times the home, 381 River Jones Lane, Red Oak, VA.
