Barbara Jean Morris Holt

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Barbara Jean Morris Holt went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Born in Halifax County on March 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Willie O. Morris, Sr. and the late Bessie Lee Tuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Lee Holt. Barbara was an active, long time member of Union Christian Church.Church was her passion and her life. She is survived by a daughter, Tina H. Campbell and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Kelsey Campbell and wife, Katie, and Cori Campbell; 3 great grandchildren, Kaleb, Paisley and Asher Campbell; sister, Beatrice Buchanon; brother, Gearld Morris; brothers- in-law, Edward Holt of Roxboro, NC and Lonnie Holt; sisters-in-law, Velma Rea Barnhardt, Brenda Ann Culley, Cordelia S. Morris and Ann P. Morris. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas, Albert, Henry, Franklin, Woodrow, Willie “Jr.” and David. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Union Christian Church with Reverend Norman Talley officiating. The family will accept visitors at Barbara’s home, 6144 Huell Matthews Hwy., South Boston, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Union Christian Church, 8021 Florence Avenue, Virgilina, VA 24598.
