Barbara Newton Nunn

Mrs. Barbara Newton Nunn, age 73, of Virgilina passed away, January 27, 2021 after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was the daughter of Ira Richard Newton and Virginia Elliott Newton. Barbara is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of fifty-two years, Glenn Nunn. Also left to cherish her memory is her daughter Tammy Nunn Glascock and husband Terry of Oak Ridge, North Carolina. A special niece Lisa Roach, who Barbara called her adopted daughter, and Lisa’s children Gabrielle and Christian. Also surviving are a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother James Bailey “Jimmy” Newton. Barbara was the co-owner of Nunn Farms and BG Trailer Rentals where she was the office manager. Her passion was helping others, whether emotionally or financially, but most importantly not wanting anything in return or any recognition. She will be dearly missed by her family and many, many friends. A private graveside service will be held at Virgilina Cemetery.
