Barbara Sue Steele

Barbara Sue Jones Steele, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2013.She was born on February 6, 1939 in Campbell County, Virginia to Rufus Harry Jones and Ruth Cundiff and is married to Bayne Steele, Sr. Mrs. Steele graduated from Walter Williams High School ion Burlington, NC in 1957 and has previously resided in Springdale Estates in Wake County, NC. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Clarksville, Va. In addition to her husband of 52 years, Barbara is survived by her mother, Ruth Cundiff Jones of Burlington, NC; daughter, Cynthia Steele of Oxford and sons and daughter-in-law, Bayne and Elaine Steele, Jr. of California and Michael Craig Steele of Hawaii. She is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Jones Phillips of Wilmington, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby K. and Jackie Jones of Snow Camp, NC; and granddaughter, Margaret Steele. Memorial services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 805 Virginia Avenue, P. O. Box 1537, Clarksville, Va. 23927 on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father John officiating. Interment will occur in Manteo, NC at a later date.
