Barbara Jane Thomas

Buffalo Junction, VA - Mrs. Barbara Jane Thomas passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born in McElhattan, PA on May 23, 1934 the daughter of the late Anna and Mack Ricker. Barbara and her husband, Charles “Buss” Thomas, were married on April 9, 1954. After living in Virginia Beach for 30 years they made the move to Clarksville 25 years ago. A member of Buffalo Baptist Church, Barbara loved the Lord and her church where she served on many committees. She had a life long passion for horses which she enjoyed sharing with her family. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband; daughter, Vicky Kennedy (Darnell) of Bracey; son, David Thomas (Ashley) of Clarksburg, WV; sister, Sallee Wilkins (Don) of State College, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her step mother, Sarah, who raised her; as well as her three brothers, Louis, Dean, and Lynn. Funeral services will be held at Buffalo Baptist Church on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church with the Reverend B.J. Erps officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Friday, March 15 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.
