Barry Lynn Poole

Barry Lynn Poole of Oxford, NC passed away early Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the age of 62. He was born on August 27, 1959 in Granville County to Nathan Riley Poole and Helen Price Poole. Barry loved farming and all of his farm animals, which included cows, horses and chickens. He was an avid hunter, especially coon hunting with his dogs, and enjoyed riding horses. Barry was a member at Florence Avenue Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jasper Poole; special friend, Iris Seamons; sisters, Judy Glasscock (Buck) and Mary Helen Rice and brothers, Ronald Poole (Cynthia) and Jerry Poole (Jennifer). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Greg Glasscock, Cliff Glasscock, Todd Rice, Brad Rice, Shane Tuck, Brandon Poole, Phillip Poole, Christen Martin, Josh Poole, Chelsea Wilbourne, John Wayne Poole, Joni Poole and Justin Poole, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Debra Lou Poole, William Charles “Chuck” Poole and Elbert Jasper Poole. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, October 24 at Florence Avenue Baptist Church in Virgilina with burial to follow at Virgilina Cemetery. The Reverend Herbert Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends at Florence Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday from 6 – 8 P.M and at other times at the home of Ronald and Cynthia Poole.
