Ms. Beatrice Shelton Wilborn, age 83, of Alton died Tuesday, March 30. Ms. Wilborn was born in Halifax Co. on May 2, 1926 to the late Lewis Irving and Anna Coates Shelton and was married to the late Floyd Lee Wilborn, Sr.. She was a retired textile worker at Halifax Cotton Mill and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Wilborn Reagan and husband, Tincy of Alton and Nancy Lee Wilborn Long and husband, Bernice of South Boston; three sisters, Eunice Estes of South Boston, Stella White of Morganton, NC, and Inez Kramer of Ellabell, GA; grandchildren, Joanna Blanks, Greg Long, Tracy Barksdale, Joey Long, Stephanie Waller, and Scottie Clowdis; great grandchildren, Matthew Barksdale, Amanda Barksdale, Christopher Long, Justin Long, Josh Long, Emily Waller, Dylan Waller, Lucas Clowdis, and Anna Clowdis; and great-great grandchild, Kaylee Barksdale. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Lee Wilborn, Jr.; brothers, C.D. Shelton and Warren Shelton; and a sister, Hope Estes. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 1 at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Mary Ann & Tincy Reagan, 1107 Paradise Rd., Alton.
