Becky Lynn Lapsley Black

Mrs. Becky Lynn Black, age 60, of Nelson, VA, the beloved wife of Dr. Dave Black, went Home to be with the Lord at 6:52 am on November 2, 2013 after a 4-year struggle with cancer. Visitation will be held at the Watkins-Cooper-Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, VA, on Saturday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. At 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, a "Celebration Service" honoring the work of the Lord in Becky's life will be held at Binkley Chapel on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, followed by the interment at Bethel Hill Baptist Church north of Roxboro at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to help the Blacks build a ministry training center in Burji, Ethiopia, where Becky grew up. Checks may be made payable to Bethel Hill Baptist Church, earmarked "Burji," and sent to Dave Black at 2691 White House Rd., Nelson, VA, 24580.
