Berlene Adcock Yancey

Clarksville, VA Berlene Adcock Yancey, 94, widow of Kieffer Manuel Yancey, died at Sentara Meadowview Terrace the evening if October 5, 2015.Berlene was born to the late Henry Clay Adcock and Mattie Bellow Compton Adcock on June 23, 1921 in Mecklenburg County.She was well known as an excellent cook and local waitress.There will be a graveside funeral service on Thursday, October 8th at 2 PM in Oakhurst Cemetery.Surviving Berlene is her dear niece, Myrtle Clark and many more nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Gordon Manuel Yancey, five sisters, Irene Fitt, Mattie West, Roberta Stanley, Louise Pugh and Nelia Card.As well as her four brothers, Dewey, Willie, Henry and Tom Adcock.Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wclfh.com.
