Bernice Dell Newcomb

Miss Bernice Dell Newcomb of 1089 Black Walnut Rd., Randolph, VA died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the age of 81. She was born in Charlotte Co., VA on March 28, 1933 to the late Callie Owen Newcomb and the late Marian Dell Newcomb. Miss Newcomb was a homemaker. Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Wade of Randolph, VA, Annie Lee Varner of Farmville, VA; one brother, Hagood Newcomb of Farmville, VA; one niece, Sheila Lacks & husband, Wayne of Randolph, VA; one nephew, Addie Wade & wife, Betty of Danville, VA; one great niece, Tammy Moore; very special friend, Lucille Wilmoth of Randolph, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Nell Frances; two brothers, Edward Newcomb and Aubrey Newcomb. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Clover Cemetery with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at other times at her home, 1089 Black Walnut Rd., Randolph, VA.
