Bertram Ford Sexton, Sr.

Bertram Ford Sexton, Sr. passed away November 16, 2006. He left to cherish wonderful memories, his beloved wife, Evelyn. Bertram retired from Hampton City Schools in 1991. He gave himself fully to his family and many others throughout his life. He leaves behind three children, Donna Hessig, Bertram Sexton, Jr. and his wife Christine; and Stanley Sexton and his wife Carolyn. He also leaves behind two step-children, Michael Edwards and Christine Youmans and her husband, George. He is survived by two sisters, Ilene Eldreth and Syble Lynch and 12 grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1PM Saturday at the Sexton Family Cemetery with the Reverend Raymond Bunn officiating. Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be sent to the Chase City Fire and Rescue Departments.
