Betty "Gayle" Compton Gordon

Betty “Gayle” Compton Gordon, 68, died at Lynchburg General Hospital the evening of September 21, 2015.Gayle was born in South Boston to the late Grover Thomas Compton and Ruby Williamson Compton.She loved horses, her dog and especially her grandson.The funeral service for Ms. Gordon will take place on Thursday, September 24th at 11 AM at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with The Reverend Rodney Barwick officiating.Surviving Gayle are her son, Steven Wayne Hogan, sister, Debra Lowery and husband Floyd Jr., brother, Gerald Compton and wife Donna and grandson, Steven “Dale” Hogan.Preceding her in death are her parents and brother, Theodore “Ted” Compton.The family will receive friends at Gravel Hill Baptist Church at 10 AM on Thursday the 24th.Please consider making contributions in memory of Gayle to the Lake Country SPCA at 11764 Hwy 15.
