Betty Francis Hill Corns

Mrs. Betty Francis Hill Corns of 11145 James D. Hagood Hwy., Clover, VA died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born in Patrick Co., VA on December 7, 1917 to the late Willie Hill and the late Fannie Sue McBride Hill and was married to the late Moyr Washington Corns. She was retired from Tultex and was the oldest member of Clover Baptist Church and a past member of the Clover Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Jeannie Toombs of Clover, VA; a sister, Eldean Layman of Stuart, VA; two granddaughters, Regina T. Hylton and husband, Terry and Christy T. Strohm and husband, Jason, all of Clover, VA; five great grandchildren, Seth Hylton, Jagger Hylton, Zander Strohm, Skyla Strohm, and Keira Strohm. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, David Corns, a daughter, Marie Corns, and a son-in-law, James Toombs. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Stuart, VA at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home, 11145 James D. Hagood Hwy., Clover, VA.
