Betty Robertson Throckmorton

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Betty Robertson Throckmorton of South Boston passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Born in Halifax County on October 15, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Robertson and the late Lula Richardson Bradsher. She was the wife of William W. "Bill" Throckmorton for 57 years. Betty enjoyed shopping, gardening and admiring her beautiful flowers. She always took pride in getting her hair styled and nails manicured. The joy of her life were her grandbabies and her dogs. Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Bill; son, Thomas M. Throckmorton; daughter, Joyce T. Perkins and husband, Tony; son, Billy Throckmorton and wife, Jennifer; sister, Kitty Holt; special family member, Donna Lawson; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lee Throckmorton; and brothers, Gene Robertson and Jimmy Robertson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel.
