Betty Stone Williamson

Betty Stone Williamson of Clarksville passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born in North Carolina on February 11, 1935 to the late Andrew Stone and the late Bessie Wilkins Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Franklin Williamson.

Betty had worked with Russell Stover and Lake Sleepwear. She loved farming, gardening and canning. She could spend countless hours in her garden.  Betty was a member of Hitesburg Baptist Church. She loved all her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Weston (Dennis) and grandchildren, Bobby Jean Nelson (Richard) and Stacey Ray Jones (Laura); 6 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Stone (Mary) and A.C. Stone; and Mike Overbey (Shirley) who was like a son to her.
In addition to the parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Eardean Elliott and a brother, Roosevelt Stone.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024  at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
