Red Oak, VA. - Beverly “Bev” Daniel Peregoy, Sr.,46, of Red Oak died on Friday, July 24, 2015. He was born September 14, 1968 in Richmond to Vernon Layne and Susan Farrar Peregoy. Bev graduated from Randolph Henry High School in the class of 1986. Bev and his wife Brenda were married on November 18, 2006 and attended Antioch Baptist Church in Red Oak. He was a truck driver for many years, a diesel mechanic, and his hobbies included working as a race car mechanic and spotter. Bev is survived by his father, Vernon Layne Peregoy; wife, Brenda Haulton Peregoy; and sons, Beverly D. Peregoy, Jr., Steven Haulton, and Dylan McDowell, all of Red Oak. Bev is also survived by his brother Tommy Peregoy of Clarksville and nephews Zach and Bradley Peregoy. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Farrar Peregoy, his first wife, Tereasa Hess Peregoy; grandmothers Mary Lacks Royster, Margarett Layne Peregoy. Memorial service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 6700 Barnsville Highway, Red Oak, VA 23964 on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Jane Lyon and Buck Gittman officiating. Visitation for friends and family will immediately follow the service.
