Mr. Billy Carlson Watts of 6085 Clover Rd., Clover died Saturday, March 27 at the age of 70. Mr. Watts was born on January 20, 1940 in Halifax Co. to the late Joe Wilson Watts and Annie Belle Ferrell Watts and was married to Helen Hamlett Watts. He was owner/operator of Billy's Exxon, a veteran of the U.S. Marines, and a member of Clover United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Lisa Anne Watts Spurgeon and husband, Charles of Richmond; a brother, Joe Watts and wife, Shirley of Scottsburg; a step grandchild, Keenan Connell; and a number of nieces and nephews including Jay Crews and Kelly Franco and husband, Joe. In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by his step mother, Della Hudson Watts. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 29 at 2:00 PM in Clover Cemetery with Rev. Doug Sasser officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, March 28 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
