Bobbie Snead Sheffield

Red Oak, VA Bobbie Booker Snead Sheffield went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the age of 97. She was born in Halifax County on December 8, 1921 to the late Virginia Bomar and Harry Howard Snead. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.Bobbie worked as a bookkeeper for Bill Simmons for 14 years and prior to that she worked for Crowder Brothers Department Store. Bobbie is survived by her sons Rush Miller Adams (R.M.) and George Booker Adams, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild; sister Nancy Brady of Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Rick Sheffield; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Kristen White officiating. Burial will take place at Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of R.M. and Linda Adams, at 372 Jones Store Road, Red Oak, VA 23964.
