Bobby Edgar Pruitt

Bobby Edgar Pruitt of Cluster Springs, VA, went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 18, 2012. Born in Danville, VA on November 13, 1946, he was 65 years of age. Mr. Pruitt was the son of the late James Edgar Pruitt and Viola Elizabeth Pruitt. He is survived by two brothers, James F. Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN, and Kenneth R. Pruitt of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister, Beatrice Pruitt Fourqurean of South Boston; numerous nephews and nieces; and a very special friend, Shelby Keatts of South Boston, VA. Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Daniel T. Pruitt, and his twin sister, Barbara Jean Pruitt Poe. After graduating from Bluestone High School in Mecklenburg County, VA, and retiring from ABB, Mr. Pruitt was owner/operator of Bobby’s Tree Service. The family would like to thank Hospice for the care given to him and a special thanks to everyone for their prayers during his illness. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens, South Boston.
