Clarksville, VA Bobby Calvin Toler, husband of Annie Sowell Toler, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the age of 73. He was born in Lynchburg, VA, on March 31, 1947, to the late Robert Lee and Virginia Doss Toler. Bobby worked in the Dye House with Burlington Industries for many years until they closed. He was dedicated to his community, working first with the Gladys Rescue Squad and later as a lifetime member of the Mecklenburg County Life Saving & Rescue Squad. He loved to golf, fish and play cards with his “Rook” family. His quick wit, dedication, and whistling will be missed by many. Bobby is survived by his wife, Annie; sons, Jeffrey Toler of Burlington, NC; Malcolm Glen Taylor and wife, Tammy, of Boydton, VA; daughter, Kym Edwards and husband, Jerame, of Concord, VA; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition, he is survived by sisters, Eleanor Roberts of Gladys, VA, and Phyllis Foster (Page) of Danville, VA. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Henry Toler.
