Bobby Gray West

CLARKSVILLE Bobby Gray West of Noblin Farm Road, Clarksville passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 82.Born in Grassy Creek, NC on May 3, 1939, he was the son of the late William and Exonie Vaughan West and was married to Julia Adcock West. Bobby was the owner/operator of West Auto Parts, Inc for 25 years and worked for USPS after the store. He was a charter member of Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squadand a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church. His grandchildren were his passion. In addition to his wife, Julia, he is survived by daughters, Amona West Currin (Stanley) of Victoria, VA and Kay West Winn (Jeff) of Red Oak, VA; son, Bobby Alvin West (Gail) of Clarksville, VA; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, W. Jasper West of Louisburg, NC, Tommy West (Julia) of Oxford, NC; and sisters, Linda Dunkley (Clarence) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Ann Watts (Danny) of Oxford, NC and Faye Frazier of Oxford, NC.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny West and a sister, Joan King. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel with Revered Dave Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 7 - 8:30 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
