Nelson, VA – Brenda Loftis Clancy, wife of Edward Joseph Clancy, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the age of 76. Born in Oxford, NC, on October 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Alice Raynor Loftis. Brenda was a member of the 1st graduating class at J.F. Webb High School and worked as a medical transcriptionist. During her career, she worked at Henderson Family Practice, Oxford Family Medicine and at CVS Pharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, crafting and collecting, particularly porcelain dolls and ceramics. Brenda loved children and took great joy in playing Mrs. Claus along with Santa, her husband, Edward. She was a member of the Virginia Carolina Model A Ford Club and attended Nelson Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by daughters, Angela Parham Belton (Gerald) of Creedmoor and Adrianne June Stanley of Creedmoor and son-in-law Todd Stanley, of Oxford; grand dogs, Misty and Bruce, as well as numerous grand cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and her previous husband, David Alger “D.A.” Parham, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Nelson Baptist Church with the Reverend Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service in the church fellowship hall beginning at noon. A reception will follow burial in the fellowship hall.
