Brenda Nunn Davis

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Brenda Joyce Nunn Davis went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Born on September 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Nunn and the late Blanche Eugenia Davis Nunn. She was the youngest of seven siblings. Brenda was the wife of Pastor Larry “Rat” Davis of South Boston, VA for 57 years. Brenda was raised in the Buffalo Junction community and was a graduate of Bluestone High School Class of 1961. She then furthered her education at Averett College Class of 1963, Longwood College Class of 1976 and received her Masters of Education at East Carolina University Class of 1988. During her 28 year teaching career, she taught at many schools: Mecklenburg County, Martin County NC, Allegany County NC, Person County NC, Southside Community College and Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority in the GED program. She was a volunteer with Sentara Halifax Hospital and a member of the Good Samaritan. Brenda was a member of Arbor Baptist Church where she ministered in many aspects of the church along with her husband Larry. Leaving behind to cherish her memories are husband Larry; daughters, Tracey D. Paul (David); Kimberly D. Robertson; grandchildren, Devon Paul, Anna Beth Robertson, Kathryn Robertson, Wesley Paul and Davis Robertson. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
