Carey Dean Morris

Carey Dean Morris of Virgilina, VA passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the age of 60 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Halifax County on August 21, 1964 to the late Henry Bernard Morris and the late Margaret Welcher Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Kent Morris.

Carey was a devoted father and Papa.  He enjoyed spending times with his family and church family. He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church in Virgilina.  Carey was a people person; he never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Morris Tilley (Collin); son, Chris Morris; grandchildren, Shyann Morris, Natalie Morris, Jayden Morris, Olivia Morris, Jaycee Morris, Abel Morris, Caitlyn Tilley and Cayden Tilley; siblings, Carolyn M. Whitlow (Danny), Freida Morris and Earl Morris (Stacy); and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Morris; granddaughter, Addisyn Tilley and a brother Allen Morris.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at North Fork Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
