Carl Grover Dean

Carl Grover Dean, 56, of Holly Springs, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Carl was born October 30, 1956 in Wilson, NC. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University and served as the town manager for Holly Springs, NC for over 12 years. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Bess Baptist Dean; and father, Grover Hillman Dean. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Rose Dean of the home; mother, Nell Taylor Beaman Dean of Raleigh, NC; sister, Jane Dean Tracy and husband, Bill of Grayslake, IL; and niece, Brooke Marie Tracy of Grayslake, IL. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 5420 Sunset Lake Rd Holly Springs, NC 27540. Burial will follow the service at Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
